Membership Levels

Primary Organizations

Primary Organizations are either Colorado Departments of Congressionally chartered Service Organizations recognized by the US Department of Veterans’ Affairs for claims representation or veterans membership organizations listed under Title 38, US code with an active chapter or council in Colorado. 

Affiliate Organizations

Affiliate Organizations are subordinate or auxiliary entities of Primary Organizations. 

Associate Organizations

Associate Organizations are entities providing services to veterans and/or their families that actively support veteran issues.

Voting

Only primary organizations are voting members for legislation and organizational policy votes. Otherwise, all member representatives present may vote on any matter brought to a vote at any particular meeting.

MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Your organization requests to be recognized and accepted as a member of the United Veterans Coalition of Colorado. Members do not pay any dues. Please mail completed application to the above address or give to UVC Secretary at UVC General Meeting

ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE (optional):
Important. Only your Designated Representative, or if not there, your Alternate, may vote your Organization's Vote. Therefore , it is incumbent on your Organization to make sure these names are kept current with the UVC.

The UVC is a nonprofit coalition, comprised of over 200 Colorado Veterans Organizations. Its mission is to be a productive advocate of State and Federal legislation and public policy for Colorado veterans, active duty service members, National Guard, the Reserves, and their families.

Our mission is to activate and represent its member organizations, speaking with one unified voice in Colorado; to work with public policy makers to ensure proper support for veteran issues and concerns; and to inform/educate Colorado citizens about the needs and the high value contributions of veterans, active duty service member, National Guard, the Reserves, and their families.
